Kurzbio in deutsch

Christoph Müller (*1964) studierte Soziologie, Sozial- und Wirtschaftsgeschichte
sowie politische Theorie an der Universität Zürich.

Von April 1997 bis September 2000 arbeitete er am Institut für Soziologie der Universität Bern
an dem von Prof. Dr. Bettina Heintz geleiteten Forschungsprojekt
«Virtuelle Vergemeinschaftung - Die Sozialwelt des Internet» (siehe / virt /).

Die Studie bildete einen Bestandteil des Forschungsverbundes «Individualisierung und Integration» (siehe / ii /)
innerhalb des sozialwissenschaftlichen Schwerpunktprogramms «Zukunft Schweiz» des Schweizerischen Nationalfonds.

Zur Zeit wird das Thema dieser Studie vom Autor zu einer Dissertation vertieft.

Weitere Forschungsgebiete sind «Überwachung und Kontrolle» (siehe / ctrl /),
sowie Themen der Wissenschafts- und Technikforschung (siehe / sts /).

Lehraufträge am Schweiz. Public-Relations-Institut (SPRI),
an der Hochschule für Kunst und Gestaltung Zürich (HGKZ)
und am Kurs MGU an der Universität Basel (siehe / kurse /).

Short bio in English

Christoph Müller (*1964) studied sociology, social history, and political theory
at the University of Zürich (Switzerland).

From April 1997 to September 2000 he worked at the Institute for Sociology at the University of Berne
on a research project directed by Prof. Dr. Bettina Heintz
«Virtual Communites - The Social World of the Internet» (see / virt /).

This study was a part of the research network «Individualisation and Integration» (see /ii/)
in the Swiss Social Science Priority Program «Switzerland towards the Future»
directed by the Swiss National Science Foundation.

At this time, the research is being prepared for a doctoral thesis.

Other research interests include «Surveillance and Control» (see / ctrl /)
as well as «Science, Technology and Society» (see / sts /).

Teaching at the Swiss Public-Relations-Institute (SPRI),
at the Higher School for Arts and Design Zurich
and at the MGU course at the University of Basel (see / kurse /, in German).
